SCAT Quantitative Section:
This quantitative (math) section is 22 minutes long and contains 50 questions assessing mathematical reasoning skills, plus five unidentified experimental questions that won't count towards your score. These questions don't usually require computation. Instead, they're multiple-choice comparisons where you'll evaluate two quantities: whether one is greater, both are equal, or (for older students) if there's enough information to determine an answer at all.

SCAT Verbal Section:
The verbal section of this exam is 22 minutes long and contains 50 questions. The questions assess verbal reasoning skills and understanding of meaning. Additionally, there are five unidentified experimental questions that will not count towards your score. The questions are multiple-choice analogies, and you will be asked to choose the pair of words that best complete the presented comparison.
